Celebrities and Big Pharma Back World’s First LGBTQ+ Ambassador Dr Vincent Wong and his #IAMME Campaign
Celebrity doctor Vincent Wong has launched the #IAMME campaign supported by actor and musician, Duncan James, Britain’s Next Top Model’s trans contestant Tallulah-Eve and global pharmaceutical company Allergan. This marks the launch of the world’s first LGBTQ+community for wellbeing and medical aesthetic beauty, celebrating diversity sharing his wholly inclusive approach to cosmetic consultations, expectations and treatments.
The campaign explores the power of Medical Aesthetics to channel the inner confidence of individuals within the LGBTQ+ community to help overcome the struggles and issues the community faces.
Episode 1 chats to actor and singer Duncan James who is happily openly gay and has recently shared his new relationship. Episode 2 welcomes the fabulous Tallulah-Eve a trans woman, the first trans woman on Britain’s Next Top Model series.
Future episodes will welcome more LGBTQ+ celebrities including a favourite from RuPaul’s drag race, a trans man, and a non-binary person (who is an actor) exploring the struggles with gender identity and self-harm. Each guest brings an inspirational story to viewers exploring all aspects of wellbeing and what the pressure of modern aesthetics means to their lives.
Dr Wong says, “Pride is not a celebration of being in the LGBTQ+ community pride, for me, is a celebration of our right to exist without persecution or prosecution.”
Dr Wong has been involved with Pride Celebration for over 3 years with his good friend Sinitta, who is also the Godmother of Pride. Working as a cosmetic doctor in London one of his most popular medical specialities is the correct feminisation and masculinisation of faces utilising aesthetic treatments and procedures.
It is apparent within the community that so many people are struggling, in one way or another and Dr Wong aims to assist in channelling inner confidence. Most people we’ve spoken to find that there is a mismatch between their outer appearance and inner identity. Others are seeking cosmetic procedures are not fully aware of what is available, what can be achieved or where to start.
He said, “I strongly believe that there is room for Medical Aesthetics to make a difference. I’m very proud and honoured to be working with a global pharmaceutical company, Allergan, in this exciting campaign."
This is the first LGBT campaign in Medical Aesthetics to help educate and empower the community. There will be a new episode released on the first Wednesday of every month.
Allergan Country Manager, Nancy Ghattas, is enthusiastic with support. She said, “We at Allergan recognise the importance of celebrating diversity and understand that an inclusive community is better at overcoming challenges and creates a stronger, more competitive company.
“As a pioneer in Medical Aesthetics, we have been at the forefront of transformational technology for nearly 30 years. We have always supported and celebrated everyone’s right to be whoever they wish to be, and we take great pride in the fact that our products can be used in such important procedures and support the journey of our friends in the LGBTQ+ community.”
New episodes will be released on the first Wednesday of every month.
