MPs have called for an urgent licensing system for non-surgical cosmetic procedures, an immediate ban on liquid BBLs and tighter scrutiny of cosmetic tourism in a new report from the Women and Equalities Committee.

The Chartered Trading Standards Institute (CTSI) has reported the sale of illegal skin lightening products in a range of outlets, including small grocery shops and butchers. According to the CTSI, many of these products are illegal in the UK due to the serious health risks they pose.
