Cynosure launches smart laser which reads and grows skin

Cynosure, has launched a revolutionary new laser in the UK. ICON is a fractional non-ablative laser that can significantly improve the appearances of scarring. It can treat all kinds of scarring including stretch marks, acne scarring, burn scars and surgical damaged tissue, epidermal pigment and mid-dermal wrinkles. The laser is equipped with the only FDA-approved Skintel melanin reader, which analyses your skin type and transmits vital information wirelessly.

The non-ablative fractionated laser directs microscopic columns of heat deep into the dermis, leaving the surrounding tissue and epidermis intact. This deep heat triggers a restorative healing response in the skin, stimulating collagen production and allowing the skin to renew itself, gently replacing the scarred skin with fresh healthy tissue. The area blends naturally with the surrounding skin, as if it was never there.
