ABC Lasers launches 308 Excimer System

ABC Lasers has launched the 308 Excimer System as a treatment solution for intense monochromatic UVB therapy of autoimmune skin diseases. With a wavelength of 308nm, the system is ideally suited for the treatment of psoriasis, vitiligo, alopecia areata and other indications.

The system allows you to treat patients just as quickly and effectively as with an excimer laser, but it is considerably smaller, easier to use and more flexible. With its comparatively low acquisition and operating costs, it is also more cost-effective. Lesion targeting makes treatments with the 308 Excimer System especially intense and effective. The variable power density – 50 to 6,000mJ/cmÇ – can be adjusted to the individual treatment requirements. The 16cmÇ spot, with adaptable shape and size, specifically targets the areas to be treated, making it possible to apply a much higher UVB dose than with UV cabins, while leaving healthy skin unexposed. This reduces the number of treatment sessions required and improves patient comfort and clinical results significantly. With a colour touch screen and intuitive menu with integrated MED (Minimum Erythema Dose) the 308 Excimer System also makes treatments very easy to perform.
