Aesthetic Medicine Live returned to Olympia London on May 19-20, 2023, bringing 3,041 visitors together with some of the biggest brands in the industry.

The show featured exhibitors from across the industry, who were on hand to demonstrate the latest products and help delegates discover emerging trends.

Business benefits

“The show has been brilliant,” said Justine Stevens-Parker, key account manager for headline sponsor Cutera. “It's been very civilised. We've had some great leads come through and we've met some fantastic people, so generally it's been a really good show for us and one that I would encourage anybody to do.”

Poppy Rowe, from platinum sponsor Hydrafacial, commented, “Hydrafacial is such a personalised treatment, so it's really important that you sit down with a member of our team, so we can help provide you with that knowledge and expertise about why it's suitable for your patients and your business. It's been amazing to reconnect with our lovely colleagues, meet so many new faces and get people to experience Hydrafacial.”

Erchonia UK sales and operations manager Vanessa Brown felt it was “important” that the brand was a headline sponsor. “It puts us first-hand in front of our clients and our doctors and supports the industry. The medical aesthetics industry is vast, so it's important that these types of conferences take place.”

Lorraine Perretta, head of nutrition for Advanced Nutrition Programme, said AM Live had been “wonderful”: “We have had lots of interesting conversations with people from the aesthetic industry, and we're very happy to have been here. This is the first show we've done and it's great to be meeting people in person again.”

Education

AM Live also provided delegates with six educational streams featuring industry-leading experts – a CPD-accredited Clinical Conference, Business Skills Seminars, the Skin and Body Agenda, Live Demo Theatre, Sponsored Symposiums, and the Consortium of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Owners (CAPSCO) and UK Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (UKAAPS) annual conference.

Plastic surgeon Stefano Cortufo spoke about buttock augmentation as part of the UKAAPS conference. “The show is a great opportunity to combine a conference of plastic surgery with new knowledge in medicine,” he said. “It's so convenient because so much is produced by new technologies. It can help us to support our patients in so many other ways than just performing plastic surgery. This is all new learning, it’s a great show.”

WiAM

AM Live also hosted the launch of support and networking group, Women in Aesthetic Medicine (WiAM).

“I was really happy to be asked to be a founding member of WiAM,” said speaker and Web Marketing Clinic content manager Alex Bugg. “I know a lot of great, talented women in this industry, and I think that, together, we are much more powerful.  It was a real pleasure to be asked to work more with these people and to do research and to take action as well.”

The best in aesthetics was celebrated at the 2023 Aesthetic Medicine Awards, held at Royal Lancaster London on May 19.

AM Live will be returning to Olympia London on 10-11 May 2024. Register your interest here.
