Aesthetic Medicine’s Virtual Event was a huge success!

The Aesthetic Medicine Virtual Event sponsored by Inmode ran from Monday, 11 to Friday, 15 May and was a huge success.

Visitors were able to join in with five webinars a day which saw educational content, clinical, medics-only sessions and an extra webinar straight from Aesthetic Medicine India.

Monday morning started with a session which was only available to GMC, NMC, GDC and GPhC members only. “The art of non-surgical rhinoplasty: Injectable treatments for enhancing and re-shaping the nose” was hosted by Dr Ahmed El Houssieny, founder of Dr A Aesthetics in Hale and Stockton Heath.

The event sponsor, Inmode was our first brand to feature in the week with Dr Dev Patel, medical director and founder of Perfect Skin Solutions. The session focused on combination techniques to brighten, tighten and volumise.

A highlight from the week was a session on the mind with Tracey Dennison, advanced aesthetics nurse and Dr Harry Singh, owner of Botulinum Toxin Club. A little light relief was offered by focusing on the mental wellbeing essentials in uncertain times and productivity mindset in terms of how to set yourself in the right frame of mind to be productive during covid-19.

Another great session saw Dr John Tanquerary, ZO Skin Heath trainer representing Wigmore Medical, investigating “The science of skin health”. The session educated the audience in active ingredients, delivery systems and the fundamentals of protocol building behind Dr Zein Obagi’s ZO Skin Health system.

On Wednesday, Lynton Lasers showcased the advancements in laser hair removal with Dr Sam Hills, the webinar included an overview of different types of aesthetic laser and provided the opportunity to learn the best clinical outcomes.

The second medics-only session of the week saw HA-Derma educate on understanding hyaluronic acid injectables and their correct classifications. Aesthetic nurse trainer and qualified educator Anna Baker explained natural hyaluronic acid, the different roles of hyaluronic acid according to its size, different cross-linking processes and chemical agent BDDE, the risks referring to biocompatibility, toxicity, clinical performance and safety; and different dermal filler gel characteristics, also exploring the differences between biphasic versus monophasic gels.

The event rounded off with a session by TESLAFormer with KOL Dr Vincent Wong, aesthetics practitioner at VinDoc Aesthetic Academy, that explored the uniqueness and benefits of functional magnetic stimulation technology for muscle health and body sculpting.

Aesthetic Medicine would like to thank event sponsor Inmode and all of the brands who sponsored each webinar session throughout the week.
