Anti-wrinkle solutions are among the most popular pre-Valentine’s Day tweakments

Searches for ‘non-surgical procedures’ have risen by 23% in the last 12 months, and in the run up to the most romantic day of the year, Valentine’s Day, botulinum toxin proves itself to be the most popular tweakment.

The data, compiled by the Harley Street Skin Clinic, analysed internal records to uncover the top procedures performed most between January and early February from 2020 to 2024.

The most sought after tweakment that people look to get around Valentine’s Day is Botox, with over 270 procedures carried out on the run up to the big day between 2020 to 2024.

Following up in second place is the PDO Thread Lift, further emphasising the patient demand for skin tightening and wrinkle reduction.

Rounding out the top three is the Spot Injection, which is likely a go-to because of its short downtime before Valentine’s Day.

Gender difference

When the data is split between men and women, the results slightly differ.

For women, botulinum toxin and PDO thread lifts remain the top procedure, but the third is fat transfer in the buttocks.

As for men, spot injections, mole removal and botulinum toxin rank as the treatments they’re looking to invest in on the run up to the big day.

Dr Aamer Khan, doctor and co-founder of the Harley Street Skin Clinic commented on why Valentine’s Day is a popular time for minimally invasive treatments of this kind:

“Social media and celebrities continue to influence beauty trends, fueling the growing demand for non-invasive treatments. People want to look like their refreshed selves, which is why they’re opting for tweakments over more intrusive alternatives.

“Valentine’s Day, in particular, is a peak time for these procedures, as individuals seek quick, accessible treatments to ensure they look their best for a date or special occasion, often opting for procedures just days before February 14th.”
