Carboxytherapy now indicated for vulvo-vaginal rejuvenation and erectile dysfunction
Vaginal rejuvenation has undoubtedly been one of the most talked about trends of 2014 and now research has showed promising results in the use of carboxytherapy for this indication. Spanish plastic surgeon Alessandra Scilletta presented the results she has achieved using Vida Health and Beauty’s Venusian system at the CCR Expo in October.
The treatment uses five to six micro-injections of carbon dioxide in the area to stimulate the tissues to grow new capillaries. This replenishes the blood supply, improves circulation to the area and thereby restores the function of the tissues and increases the amount of tissue in the treatment area. The treatment results in improved cosmetic appearance as tissue regains plumpness; improved vaginal tone and functionality; less daily dryness, irritation and incidence of thrush; improved sensation to the area with heightened orgasm and libido being reported; improved urinary symptoms, less stress incontinence, urgency, effective voiding; improved PMS symptoms and less hot flushes due to increased localised oestrogen. Carboxytherapy is also now being used to treat erectile dysfunction. As well as improved functionality the treatment is reported to result in improved sensation of the area; improved strength; improved size and improved orgasm and libido.
