David Hicks joins Aesthetic Medicine Live as conference chairman
David Hicks has joined the Aesthetic Medicine Live team as conference chairman.
The former chair of Wigmore Medical and the FACE conference and current board member of the British Association of Cosmetic Nurses, Hicks has been a figurehead and driver in the aesthetics market for over 25 years.
Presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2010 in recognition of his contribution to the industry, Hicks brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the role.
As conference chairman, Hicks will be instrumental in creating the educational programme for the 2016 Aesthetic Medicine Live event, which takes place at Olympia London on February 6-7. As well as live satellite lectures from key industry opinion leaders from the US, the programme will including other new features including a session for innovative new products based on the concept of the hit TV show Dragon’s Den and a Blind Date style consultation session where three eminent practitioners will independently mark up a patient showing how they would treat them. The delegates will then vote on the best treatment plan as well as being invited to show how they would have treated the patient. The best treatment in the view of the panel will win a prize of £5K in goods or services.
Hicks commented, “I am very excited about coming on board. Our team approach is to create the meeting by which every other meeting is going to be judged. We have been listening to what the delegates have been asking us for in the past and this is what we are going to provide.”
