Dr Maria Gonzales to speak at Aesthetic Medicine Live

Leading dermatologist, Dr Maria Gonzales has been announced as one of the speakers at Aesthetic Medicine Live.

The two-day CPD accredited event will be held at the Olympia Conference Centre on April 25-26. Gonzales’ talk entitled “Hypertrophic Scars, Striae and Acne Scars” will take place on Sunday April 26 at 11am. In this session she will take a look at the physiology of the scar and what types of treatment are best suited to it.  

The objectives of the talk are to:

• Understand the different types of tissue formation during healing

• Typical sites for scar types • Determine where energy based devices can improve the tissue

• Establish when to treat and how soon after injury to intervene

• Combined approaches for different scar types

• Investigate post-surgical scar treatments
