Dr Rita Rakus to give Fred Brandt Memorial Lecture at Aesthetic Medicine Live
Dr Rita Rakus will be sharing her top tips for running a successful aesthetic practice at Aesthetic Medicine Live 2016 as part of the inaugural Fred Brandt Memorial Lecture.
Dr Rakus has over 20 years of aesthetic medical experience and is a founding member and Fellow of the BCAM (British College of Aesthetic Medicine). Named by the media as the “London Lip Queen”, she has developed her practice into the largest solo non-surgical practice in the UK and the 5th largest Thermage® clinic in the world.
The Fred Brandt Memorial Lecture will be an annual feature of the Aesthetic Medicine Live Event from 2016 and will honor the memory of the esteemed dermatologist who died at his Florida home on April 5 this year.
Known as The "Baron of Botox", Brandt was famed for his flamboyant character and for treating top celebrities including Marc Jacobs, Calvin Klein, Madonna and Tomas Maier.
Commenting after his death Dr Patrick Treacy said, “For the many celebrities who came to his door he defined a new direction in facial aesthetics, creating an elegance that reflected the highest pinnacle of our innate symmetric appreciation of faces across cultures. He was a pioneer who created his own cosmetic brand and launched his own radio show, yet took time out of his busy schedule to lecture to his colleagues. He was aspirational and innovative and changed an industry that was surgically banal and sometimes lacking in identity before his guidance.”
The Fred Brandt Memorial Lecture "SUCCEEDING IN BUSINESS WITH DR RITA RAKUS" will take place on Saturday February 6, the first day of the Aesthetic Medicine Live event, at 11am.
