INTRAcel receives FDA approval
HealthXchange Pharmacy has announced that INTRAcel, the minimally-invasive INTRAcel fractional radiofrequency (RF) microneedle device, has been approved by the US FDA (Food and Drug Administration) for aesthetic therapy treatment.
INTRAcel treatments work for a range of skin problems, including acne scarring, fine lines, wrinkles, large pores and stretch marks. The device uses 49 insulated radiofrequency (RF) microneedles and can deliver a scalable combination therapy.
A selection of needle length and energy levels via three different modes with a microwound channel enables a range of choices as to how the treatment is delivered, and how many treatments are needed. This gives the clinician and patient more choice as to whether results can be seen immediately, or after a series of treatments. The combination of treatments in the single device also considerably decreases the risk of non-responders by enabling the clinician to use different options for single treatments.
