PicoWay receives CE mark for tattoo removaland pigmented lesions
Syneron Candela’s new device, PicoWay,has received CE Mark indication to treattattoos of all types and colours andpigmented lesions on any skin type. PicoWay is a dual wavelength device, with 532nm and 1064nmwavelengths, which utilisesSyneron’s proprietaryPicoWay technology todeliver energy to the skin using pulses which are trillionths of a second, knownas picosecond pulses. Thecompany will begin a stagedlaunch of the PicoWay devicein the international market during the thirdquarter of 2014 and anticipates that it will receive US Food and Drug Administration(FDA) clearance for PicoWay by the endof 2014.
