Environ launches RAD Spray

Ready for high summer, Environ has launched the RAD Spray SPF25, a sun protection lotion that fights free radicals. This new product is a lighter alternative to the brand’s stalwart RAD SPF15 that also provides higher sun protection. This broad-spectrum sun lotion contains four different sunscreen elements, which offer UVA and UVB protection – increased by the inclusion of the various antioxidants and vitamins contained in the formula. It’s rich in vitamins E and C, polyphenols, ferulic acid, and extracts of rosemary leaf and tomatoes and is recognised by the Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA) as a broad-spectrum sunscreen providing adequate UVA and UVB protection. Plastic surgeon Dr Des Fernandes created the original RAD in 1992. He said, “We have the complete antioxidant brigade behind the main line protection, acting as the internal defence against the sun. The antioxidants penetrate the skin and cannot be removed by water.”
