Q&A with Pam Underdown; founder & owner of Aesthetic Business Transformations

Pam Underdown is the founder and owner of Aesthetic Business Transformations, a business growth specialist working exclusively to help aesthetic business owners double their business in 12 months. Pam has been specialising in the aesthetics industry for 10 years and has over 25 years of sales, business development and marketing experience. Pam will help you to attract and retain more of your ideal patients, implement marketing strategies that produce a return, help you to eliminate any fear of sales and marketing, introduce systems and processes to improve efficiency and productivity, and provide the structure, support and accountability to help you build a sustainable and profitable business asset.

I was inspired to get into aesthetics because: I always wanted to combine my passion for business and anti-ageing, with an industry that is innovative, fast paced and growing.  I retrained as a business coach two years ago and combined that with my own experiences as a business owner and 25 years of sales/marketing experience to help aesthetic business owners to grow their businesses and learn from the mistakes I made in my early days.  I’ve spent the last 10 years in Aesthetics finding out what works, what doesn’t work and have kept up to date with the latest business and marketing strategies that work today.  I am constantly learning and training; then I share that knowledge with my clients to enable them to fast track their success by learn the essential business and marketing skills that are needed to be successful and stand out from the crowd in a very competitive marketplace.

AM Live: I will be working very closely with Vicky and the team to help make sure that the business side of the event is a massive success and adds real value to those who are attending.  I am very excited to be sharing the stage with Daniel Priestley, one of my favourite business authors and speakers and encourage anyone who has not heard him speak to come along to the event.  I will be wearing two hats at AM Live, as I will also be sharing a stand with my colleagues from our new Aesthetic Business Network, so please do come and see us for some ‘Next Generation Thinking’ free business and marketing advice at the business speed networking events.

My topic is: “Why your patients don’t choose you and what you can do about it”. I will cover the Top 5 Mistakes that aesthetic business owners make today and why they lose patients because of them.  With as many as 2 out of 3 business failing in 2014 and the marketplace the most competitive it has ever been – delegates need to make sure that they are set up to build a sustainable and profitable business that is focused on providing a ‘Unique and Compelling Experience’ which has patient safety and added value at the very heart of everything it stands for.

Outline of Workshop: this will be a practical workshop where I will be sharing what marketing strategies work now and how to make sure that everything you will help you to stand out from the crowd in a way that matters to your patients.  I promise it will make a big difference to your patient attraction and retention – and also to your bottom line.

The key objectives that delegates will walk away with:  I will make sure that anyone who comes to see my practical workshop goes away with at least 3 business and marketing strategies that are easy to implement, will get fast results and ensure they stand out from the competition in a way that matters to the aesthetic patient. We will carry out a mini audit of their existing marketing strategies to establish where they are now and what their objectives and goals are for the next 12 months (target revenue) and where the gaps are.  I will discuss how to make time to work ON your marketing, whilst working IN your business delivering treatments. Delegates will leave with a clear understanding of how patients make buying decisions and what they can do to make sure that they are chosen above their competitors, not just today but for the future.

Pam will be speaking on Saturday 25 April 2015 at our Conference - secure your seat, here
