SkinCeuticals launches Mineral Eye UV Defense SPF 30

April will see the launch of a new SPF product from SkinCeuticals, designed specifically to protect the delicate eye area. As well as offering SPF 30 protection, Mineral Eye UV Defense enhances and unifies the skin tone around the eye area and optimises make-up application with a smooth non-migrating base for use under make-up.

SkinCeuticals conducted a study which found that 40% of people don’t wear sunscreen daily on the face and even less apply sunscreens to the eye area, citing irritation when products run into the eye or interfere with make-up. Overexposure of the skin around the eye to UV radiation results in wrinkling, laxity, hyperpigmentation and an increased risk of skin cancer. The eyelid region is one of the most common sites for non-melanoma skin cancers.
