The most researched treatment for non-invasive fat loss

We chat to Dr Munir Somji, director of DrMedispa London about the EMERALD LASER.

Can you tell us a little more about the science behind the EMERALD LASER™

Emerald is nonthermal and uses harmless light energy at a specific wavelength that works systemically on a cellular level with your body. The effect of laser creates a transitory pore for emulsified free fatty liquids in your fat cells to seep out, then your body processes the liquids through your lymphatic system naturally, and also fuels muscles and organs. The now shrunken cells begin to act and function like healthy, lean fat cells, releasing the correct messages to your brain and beginning communication throughout the fat organ causing other fat cells to react the same way, releasing their content and returning their hormone responses to the positive.

Why did you decide to get the Emerald laser into your clinic?

‘We’re so proud to be one of the first in the country to offer such an innovative treatment. Patients love that all they need to do is lie down and let the machine do the work. I also like the fact that it works in tandem with the patient’s body, helping to improve general health and wellbeing, and empowering the body to repair, rejuvenate and restore itself. Erchonia has gold standard clinical evidence via placebo-controlled, double-blind, randomised, multi-centre clinical research which also was a big factor for me’

How is it different from other fat loss devices available on the market?

It’s proven to be an enormously effective technology and it doesn’t use excessive heat or cooling preserving the endocrine function of the fat cell – which is really unique. Emerald can produce noticeable results in a short space of time and is the only technology to be given US FDA market clearance for overall body circumference reduction to patients up to 40 BMI, whilst also treating small pockets of fat and cellulite. The system is truly inspired by nature and uses the client’s own fat to get their health back.
