University of Salford recruits dynamic team to deliver Level 7 Injectables programme

The University of Salford has recruited a dynamic team to deliver its new Level 7 Injectables programme in partnership with ICE Postgraduate Dental Institute. Manchester Postgraduate Dental Institute and ICE Hospital has appointed several leading clinicians to educate and lead in their new level 7 programme, in Non-Surgical Facial Aesthetics (NSFA), in partnership with the University of Salford.

Joining Dr Tracey Bell, as programme lead, are Cheryl Barton, Victoria Holden, Christian Lucas and Euan McKinnon. All of whom have extensive years of experience in both dental and facial aesthetic field.

The lecturers are innovative individuals who are committed to providing the highest standard of education and mentoring throughout the NSFA programme.

The 14-day programme will ensure the students obtain a Level 7 standard of academic and practical skills in both Botulinum Toxin and Dermal Fillers. In addition to a strong emphasis on risk factors in relation to law, ethics and consent, the programme will enable students to focus on evidence-based treatment planning and patient communication.

ICE is a purpose-built educational institute, which hosts a portfolio of educational programmes in partnership with the University of Salford, including MSc’s in Implantology and Restorative Dentistry and a DCP short course in Radiography. Therefore, students will have consecutive access to all necessary products, as well as patients and uninterrupted mentorship, which will be based in Salford Quays close to the University of Salford’s MediaCityUK campus.

The programme astutely follows the advisory framework of the JCCP and CPSA and has been created to ensure that all students obtain a thorough understanding of clinical outcomes and the required competencies for practitioners providing Botulinum Toxin and Dermal Fillers at Level 7.

Dr Bell said, “I am delighted to introduce the very first course of its kind at Salford University  in the subject of facial aesthetics, and I am extremely happy to see the commitment, time and interest that individuals have given in terms of their efforts to a programme that will hopefully achieve standards that patients should expect.”

The course starts this month (October 2019) and will run for one year, on a part-time basis.
