Want to know what it would be like to be hauled up in front of a court for medical malpractice?
Join us tomorrow morning at Aesthetic Medicine Live for our explosive courtroom reenactment featuring top barristers Dr Anton van Dellen and Mr Raf Demczuk.
Time 9.30am
Place: Conference Room 1
What: The courtroom is set tomorrow morning at Aesthetic Medicine Live when delegates will be given a birds-eye view of the realities of aesthetic practice when things go wrong. Dr Vanessa Comer who will be played by Constance Campion, will face the realities of Courtroom 10 in The High Courts of Justice in The Strand.
Her problem will be highlighted even more, when she realises that her defence is being undermined. Despite her best efforts, her evidence is torn to shreds by the fact that she has fallen into several traps set for her by leading barrister Dr Anton van Dellen who is representing the Plaintiff, a disgruntled patient, Emma Ritchies, (played by Emma Davies).
Realising that she cannot battle her way out of the mess, from the stand, Dr Comer is faced with a tough line of questioning that has been assembled in evidence by Mr Raff Demczuk and Dr van Dellen to win record damages for their ciient Miss Ritchies.
The impact will be real, because everything that served Dr Comer’s interests and built a thriving successful practice is coming back to haunt her now. The purpose of this exercise is to introduce the importance of risk management and compliance within a learned framework that has been analysed and produced for medical aesthetic practitioners in the UK.
Effective across the swelling landscape of criminal, regulatory and civil law, risk management and compliance has been the missing link and unknown friend within the aesthetics sector for far too long.
