Irish nurse convicted of supplying toxin without prescription is struck off

A nurse, convicted of supplying the botulinum toxin product Dysport without prescription, has been struck off the Registrar of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland. Mary Concepta Connie Burke pleaded guilty before Dublin District Court in February 2014 in respect of two charges of administering botulinum toxin without prescription. Her registration was cancelled on grounds that the offences rendered her permanently unfit to practise nursing.
