Aesthetic Complications Expert group host inaugural conference next month

The Aesthetic Complications Expert group has announced the programme for its inaugural conference, which will take place on Wednesday March 11, 2020 at the Birmingham Repertory theatre.
Delegates will be provided with an ACE Group conference bag which is ideal to be used as an Emergency Kit bag for their own clinics as well as a membership ID card, conference book (including a hard copy of the ACE Group guidelines and flowcharts) plus other goodies. ACE Group chair, Dr Martyn King said, “Complications are daunting no matter how experienced the practitioner and the ACE Group conference will focus on how to avoid complications, how to recognise them and then how to manage them with the most evidence-based approach. We have listened to our members and tailored our programme to those needs.
Programme highlights
Delayed Onset Nodules or DONs was the term first coined by the ACE Group several years ago and now is widely accepted and published in the literature. Dr Cormac Convery will present the latest evidence in how to identify and manage DONs. Gillian Murray and Emma Davies will be looking at issues around medical history complexities and consent to identify patients who are at risk of complications and how to mitigate these risks.
Linda Mather will provide information on how to use the emergency helpline and forum and the detail that is needed for you to receive the appropriate advice.
The ACE Group sees more complications regarding lip augmentation with dermal fillers than any other complication. Dr Lee Walker will discuss what we should consider when treating the lips, including anatomy, blood supply, patient selection, product selection, cannula versus needle and techniques.
After lunch, Dr Martyn King will hold an interactive session on various complications, their diagnosis and management. A popular lecture and very relevant to complications, Dr Lee Walker discusses anatomical considerations when treating the face. Finally, to round off the conference and perhaps the most important for our members, occlusion conclusion. Several board members discussing all things vascular occlusion related. The conference will end with a speaker panel and delegates are invited to submit questions throughout the day to be answered by experts.
Tickets are only available to members of the ACE Group at a cost of £125, non-members are able to join the ACE Group via the website (www.acegroup.online), subject to terms and conditions and membership requirements. The ACE Group operates as a not for profit organisation and as such, no sponsorship has been received for this meeting.
Join ACE Group members Dr Martyn King and Dr Lee Walker along with a panel of expert speakers discussing complications management at Aesthetic Medicine Live on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 5pm.
