Aesthetic Medicine and MyFaceMyBody announce partnership for the 2017-2018 awards

MyFaceMyBody Awards Presented By Aesthetic Medicine Logo Aesthetic Medicine and MyFaceMyBody are proud to announce a new partnership to jointly host and organise the MyFaceMyBody Awards. Taking place on the evening of March 17, 2018 at The Royal Garden Hotel Kensington, the first collaborative awards will run side by side with the Aesthetic Medicine Live conference and exhibition, which takes place on March 17-18, 2018, at Olympia London.

As part of the new joint venture there will be some exciting changes, not only to the awards categories but to the entry and judging processes to raise the standards even higher and make the awards even more robust and credible.

The MyFaceMyBody Awards has become one of the must-attend events of the industry social calendar and with global awards now held in both the US and Australia, is a benchmark of high standards and excellence in the field of aesthetics.

Aesthetic Medicine magazine and Aesthetic Medicine Live are trusted and respected within the sector and the team has unrivalled specialist knowledge of the market.

WHAT’S NEW?

As part of the partnership, we have changed the awards categories, making it all about the practitioners and clinics who are excelling in our rapidly growing field. There will now be 22 awards purely for aesthetic professionals and businesses. Among these will be nine new regional categories for aesthetics practice of the year, the winners of which will be eligible to win the overall title of Aesthetic Practice of the Year.

We have also devised a more detailed set of entry questions for each category to make the process more rigorous and provide our judges with as much information as possible to enable them to shortlist the finalists. Winners will then be decided based on a combination of mystery shops, judging panel interviews, patient testimonials, judging visits to clinics and assessment of the entries, depending on the category. Voting will only be open during the shortlisting phase for people to show their support for the entrants but it will not determine the final winner. This is to make the process fairer for those who may not have the same financial resources, marketing budgets or databases as larger clinics or clinics in busier areas.

Another significant change is that the brand and product awards will no longer be held at the same time as the practice and practitioner awards, instead these will be done at a different time of year online to ensure the integrity of the awards on the night and to allow brand sponsorship of the event without any perceived bias. As the awards are now being held in March, rather than their usual date of November, entries will open in September 2017, rather than June 2017, so don’t worry you have plenty of time to prepare your entries and decide which categories you want to enter. The mystery shopping and judging process will take place from October-November 2017.

MyFaceMyBody founder Stephen Handisides said, "We are excited to be working with Aesthetic Medicine as we are expanding the MyFaceMyBody brand around the world. We are now in our sixth year of the MyFaceMyBody Awards and wanted to take the event to the next level, giving aesthetic professionals further exposure and recognition for their customer excellence. We have designed the new platform to recognise both the small individual practitioners and the large aesthetic practices and give you the tools to benchmark yourselves both regionally and internationally as a leader within aesthetics."

Aesthetic Medicine managing director Mark Moloney said, “By focusing on the practitioners and their practices and by a judging process that includes a visit to each practice, these awards will help both expand the profession and encourage the people working in it to improve their customer service”
