Allergan to spend €42m on Irish expansion

Allergan has announced plans to invest more than €42 million (£36 million) into its Irish manufacturing facilities in Westport and Clonshaugh, to support increased manufacturing capabilities for current and future products.

The Westport facility produces Botox while the Clonshaugh facility manufactures Allergan’s tablet-based medicines.

Brent Saunders, Allergan chairman and chief executive said, “We are excited to announce continued investment in our Ireland operations, which will help Allergan continue to provide patients in Ireland and around the world with our innovative medicines.”
