Andrew Rankin named as new vice chair of BACN
Andrew Rankin has been officially named as the new vice chair of the British Association of Cosmetic Nurses.
Rankin was invited onto the board of the association back in October 2012 and has since become the chair of the BACN Education Committee. Having written a strategic educational framework for the future of the industry on behalf of the BACN he has since been invited by HEE (Health Education England) to be one of the 12 final members of the Expert Advisory Group in the UK and was leading the group on toxins and dermal fillers and more recently specialising in fillers. This work is in conjunction with the Department of Health, post the Keogh Review.
Most recently he has been a presenter at the South West/Wales and Belfast Supermeetings on behalf of the BACN talking about the use of Hyalase in aesthetic practice. In 2012 Rankin was awarded the BACN Outstanding Contribution Award for his work in leading the prescribing guidelines committee, producing a set of standards and procedures for prescribing for nurses in aesthetics.
