ASDS members performed 12 million treatments in 2017

Members of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS) performed nearly 12 million procedures in 2017 – 10% more than 2016 and double the number in 2012. For the sixth year in a row, skin cancer treatments ranked as the most-performed procedure (3.5 million). Members also performed more than eight million cosmetic treatments, a 19% increase from 2016. With a 21% increase, fillers saw the largest growth. Laser and energy-based procedures grew 17% and body sculpting increased by 12%.
