Botulinum toxin A symposium to be held in London
The Great British Academy of Aesthetic Medicine will be hosting a symposium at The Royal Society of Medicine, London, on the clinical pharmacology of Botulinum toxin A.
The symposium is aimed at healthcare professionals and scientists who use botulinum toxin for therapeutic and aesthetic purposes. The faculty of international speakers will include world-renowned Professor Dirk Dressler and Dr Andy Pickett who together have published more than 800 scientific papers on the topic.
The clinical pharmacology of botulinum toxin, including its mode of action, duration of action, dose-effect curves, product differences, dilution, spread and antigenicity, will be discussed to help practitioners understand the toxin’s properties better, optimise their treatment plans and treatments, and raise standards of clinical practice. The academy was founded by Dr Souphiyeh Samizadeh.
