Conference programme for Aesthetic Medicine Live 2016 announced

February 6-7, 2016 will see the second annual Aesthetic Medicine Live event take place at Olympia London and this week the two-day, two-agenda conference programme has been revealed.

Chaired by industry stalwart David Hicks, the Aesthetic Medicine Live Conference 2016 promises to bring clinical, business and practical education to life, with innovative and interactive sessions featuring key opinion leaders from across the globe, to arm you with the knowledge you need to take your practice to the next level.

Saturday’s programme on Agenda 1 will focus on the bread and butter treatments of many clinics – injectables – with a morning session on Botulinum Toxin: Tips, Tricks and Techniques examining both traditional on-label uses and advanced techniques with microtox, facial hyperhidrosis, the Nefertiti Lift and acne. The afternoon session – It Doesn't Have to be an HA to be a Great Filler (but it can be) – will then examine the emergence onto the market of a new generation of non-HA fillers from Ellanse and Algeness to the resurgence of collagen and compare them to the industry Gold Standard – HA – exploring why this is still an important tool in the practitioners’ armamentarium. With live demonstrations throughout the day.

Agenda 2 will see consultation and assessment brought to the forefront as part of the morning programme on How Well Do We Assess Our Patients? Exploring the different aspects of the consultation process, from history taking to patient assessment and how to avoid and manage problems, the programme also includes the aesthetic industry version of Blind Date where three practitioners will compete to see who gives the best consultation, assessment and treatment plan of a patient. The audience will also get a chance to devise their own treatment plans for the patient and will be in with a chance to win win a £5,000 prize from the exhibitors in this highly interactive session.

In the afternoon Caucasian Skin will be the focus with skin experts discussing and sharing their expertise on treatments for skin types I-III, from peels and dermal rollers to lasers and other aesthetic devices.

Sunday’s programme will kick off with Volumisation An Overview: The Non-Surgical Face-Lift on Agenda 1 and Should Capital Equipment be Part of my Clinic? On Agenda 2.

In the afternoon Agenda 1 will focus on some more unusual treatment areas with a session on Hands, Fingers, Knees And Toes, looking at innovative techniques for treating these often-ignored areas of the body. This will be followed by the aesthetic industry’s version of the popular hit show Dragon’s Den where people with new and innovative products who are looking for a distributor will be able to pitch their brands to our panel of “dragon’s” who will decide whether or not they think the product/treatment is a good investment.

The afternoon programme on Agenda 2 will look at Skin of Colour and will be chaired by world-leading expert on this subject Professor Mukta Sachdev.
