Court House Clinics and Harley Academy launch nationwide training

Courthouse House clinics has announced a nationwide training initiative with Harley Academy to strengthen standards in cosmetic treatments.

Established by BCAM Educational Executive Dr Kam Singh and Dr Tristan Mehta, Harley Academy, is a training organisation for doctors, dentists, nurse prescribers and pharmacist prescribers. Recent government guidelines for standards in medical aesthetics have recommended that students undergo a placement within a CQC-approved clinic environment under the supervision of experienced doctors. Courthouse Clinics is backing this proposal by offering the expertise of its specialist medical team exclusively to Harley Academy.

Before attending Courthouse Clinics, trainees will have undergone an intensive university-standard curriculum in preparation for their clinical placement and will be insured and fully registered with their respective professional body. By supporting the initiative Courthouse Clinics, the UK's largest provider of doctor led cosmetic treatments, encourages students to attend clinics in an effort to contribute to improving the safe training of its current and future practitioners under the new HEE recommendations. Dr Robin Stones, medical director of Courthouse Clinics (pictured) said, "Harley Academy was set up in response to the government’s review of cosmetic practises in the UK.

The aim is to offer fully compliant quality aesthetic training courses to doctors, dentists, nurse prescribers and pharmacist independent prescribers, for injectable techniques using toxin and fillers. Over time this will expand to include chemical peels and laser treatments. Courthouse Clinics have agreed to link to the new academy and will offer theoretical training based in our training suites and provide practical support by allowing candidates to observe toxin and filler treatments and then supervise the candidates as they perform the treatments. This is another important step towards improving standards in the industry" For more information contact Courthouse Clinics on 0845 555 5050 or www.courthouseclinics.co.uk
