Dalvi Humzah Aesthetic Training launches ultrasound course

Consultant plastic and reconstructive surgeon Mr Dalvi Humzah has launched a new ultrasound development course under the umbrella of his training company – Dalvi Humzah Aesthetic Training.
“We are introducing a novel ultrasound course based on the principles of ‘Spaced Learning’ a technique that has been shown to enhance and enable retention of knowledge in the current technological learning systems”, he explained.
The course will enable practitioners to develop their knowledge and skills in a staged approach, including online learning, webinars, and a hands-on session where practitioners will be able to identify structures and explore in more detail the uses of ultrasound in practice.
During injectable sessions, the ultrasound scanner will be used to look at specific regions and delegates will inject under ultrasound guidance. Complications and identification of displaced products will also be examined in detail, as well as skills of using this to deal with complications.
Mr Humzah said, “The new generation of handheld ultrasounds provide a means of shining a light into the depths of tissues while injecting. This staged approach will enable practitioners to develop their knowledge and skills to an optimal level and enhance their practice in aesthetics whilst providing a safer treatment pathway for patients.”
The course will take place in the Midlands on March 2.
