EF Medispa plans 15 franchises over next two years
Following the opening of its first franchise clinic in Bristol (pictured), earlier this month, medical spa group EF Medispa has outlined plans to open 15 additional franchises within the next 24 months.
The clinic chain told Aesthetic Medicine that the next sites are likely to be in the Home Counties, the Midlands, and the North East and North West regions. Over a dozen locations throughout the UK have already been identified, and the group is also planning expansion in central London.
EF Medispa said people in the industry expressed interest in operating the medispa model after it won Medi-spa of the Year in 2014 and Medical Aesthetic Clinic of the Year in 2015 at the Professional Beauty Awards.
Founder Esther Fieldgrass said: "We are looking for people either with a professional background in the sector, or with a passionate interest in all things aesthetic. We are also talking to private investors who realise the potential growth in the anti-ageing industry.”
Franchised clinics will receive support starting from clinic design through to training and continuous professional development for therapists.
Fieldgrass said the treatment offer at each franchise may vary depending on it target market. The Bristol clinic, for example, will have a treatment menu comprising peels, facials, injectables, laser and weight loss services.
It will also have lifestyle-focused features including a juice bar, fitness classes and the Drip and Chill Lounge vitamin intravenous drip facility that was established in EF Medispa’s Canary Wharf location. Many of the clinic’s offerings – such as the Drip and Chill Lounge and some of the procedures – will be firsts for the Bristol market.
