FACE meeting, QEII Conference Centre, London

The 14th annual FACE meeting took place in London last month. Aesthetic practitioners from around the globe travelled to the QEII conference centre for the event, which took place across four days this year.

This years’ meeting included agendas dedicated to Injectables; Skin; Business; Body and Threads. Following a pre-course conference programme on day one, the exhibition and main conference then opened on day two, with the annual press conference kicking off the morning’s proceedings. This featured a panel including Dr Zain Obagi, Dr David Eccleston, Dr Sherif Wakil, Dr Simon Zokaie, Dr Sabika Karim and Dr Emmanuel Elard. As always, the press panel gave a fascinating insight into the treatments and trends shaping the market with animated discussion and debate. Topics revolved around aesthetic gynaecology, the latest advances in skin and acne treatments, the fusion of aesthetic and anti-ageing/internal medicine, delivery systems, nutraceuticals and a new app for taking standardised before and after photography and moving 3D video images. The panel also spoke about the use of the term “inflammageing” and the role inflammation plays in skin ageing and health.

The Sky Loft on the embankment also played host to the FACE summer party with panoramic views over the city.
