Galderma (UK) signs contract with Medfx as sole-preferred distributor for its UK and Ireland aesthetics portfolio

Galderma (U.K.) Limited has officially signed Medfx as sole-preferred distributor for its aesthetics portfolio in the UK and Ireland. The announcement follows the news last month that Medfx had been selected from a robust tender process and review of Galderma’s distribution arrangements.
Now that the contract has been signed, Galderma is working in partnership with Medfx to formalise an enhanced package of customer-centric support services for healthcare professionals, which will improve their businesses, patient outcomes and safety, and overall industry standards.
The contract will come into force on 8th September, at which point Medfx and Galderma will start to launch these enhanced services to all customers who purchase products marketed under the Azzalure and Restylane brands in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland. Until that date, continuity of supply (allowing for usual market fluctuations) will be maintained and current distributors can continue to purchase and sell Galderma products if they choose.
Toby Cooper, Medical Solutions Business Unit Head, Galderma UK & Ireland said:
“We are working hard in the background with Medfx to deliver what we believe will be an industry-leading package of tailored support services that will drive forward better outcomes for customers’ patients and their businesses.
In the meantime, we’re committed to the contractual agreements and relationships we have with all of our current distribution partners, and to ensuring open access to both Azzalure and Restylane during this transition period. As such, it’s business-as-usual from a supply perspective, and product should be available from the usual stockists. However, if any customer experiences difficulties getting hold of either brand, or has any questions about distribution over the period, we encourage them to get in contact with Medfx or Galderma directly.”
Paul Adams, managing director of DD (formally Dental Directory), parent company of Medfx said:
“We are delighted to be working with Galderma as its preferred distribution partner in the UK and Ireland.
“Our offering at Medfx is state-of-the-art and customer-focused. We see this partnership with Galderma as a real opportunity to improve the industry model, to offer better levels of service across the supply chain and deliver a new standard of excellence. We’re looking forward to sharing our plans with customers so they can see how they will benefit from this alliance.”
