Healthcare booking platform on target to transform UK doctor appointments

Findoc.co.uk is rebooting the UK’s healthcare appointment systems by providing an efficient, direct, 24/7 online booking platform for healthcare professionals to offer their patients. Findoc.co.ukenables people to find their nearest healthcare professionals such as GPs, physiotherapists and dentists, read patient reviews, and book an appointment directly. Current services in the UK frequently rely on telephone systems or go through intermediaries and administrators, costing time, manpower and patient confidence.
"Founded in 2016, Findoc already has a community of 5,500 healthcare professionals across 50 specialties and 110 healthcare establishments, including hospitals, clinics and centres. It has over 3,000 patient reviews, a number that is growing all the time, and more than 25,000 online bookings have already been made, doubling every month."
Findoc provides patients with a simple, secure and private method of booking, with a single system across multiple healthcare practices: the individual’s details are saved, saving them time making future bookings with the same or other providers. Findoc’s search and booking platform also helps healthcare professionals to improve their search visibility among potential new patients and their patient retention.

For healthcare professionals and organisations, Findoc’s subscription model enables scale so the platform can serve an individual GP to a large hospital, helping all types of medical businesses increase their efficiency. In a pilot of Findoc’s full-service software conducted from June 2017 to February 2018, Medicare Francais, France’s largest medical centre improved its booking management, reducing no-shows by up to 70%, filling last-minute openings, decreasing telephone call volumes and email bookings, lowering booking management costs and saving £5k per month.
Currently focused on private practices in London, Findoc is expanding coverage to other UK cities and to the NHS with trials starting at a number of GP practices in April. Findoc employs 21 people and raised £1.2m of investment at the end of last year.
