TALK SPOTLIGHT: Medium and Deep Peelings – Reducing Risk and Improving Outcomes - Dr Phillipe Depreze
In this live link demonstration Dr Deprez will review current trends in chemical peeling, including control of both post peel inflammation and pain, new technologies, new combination treatments such as the pixel peel, and new ingredient combinations designed to reduce risk and improve patient outcomes. He will cover all aspects of peels include application and post peel management. Dr Deprez will assess a patient and perform an approved peel. You will have time to ask questions of this world renowned expert in medical peels.

Dr Stefanie Williams (chair)
Dr Stefanie Williams is a dermatologist with special interests in aesthetic medicine, cosmeceuticals, lifestyle anti-ageing, acne and rosacea. She has gained clinical and research experience in both Germany and Great Britain. She is author and co-author of more than 100 scientific articles, book chapters and abstracts and is frequently asked to speak at international conferences. She also lectures in the department of Cosmetic Science at the University of the Arts London. In her London based private clinic, she not only practices general dermatology, but also aesthetic dermatology, using cutting edge non-surgical procedures to regenerate and enhance the skin. As a dermatologist and a cosmetic scientist, she is also in an ideal position to combine her knowledge of skin biology and medical dermatology with her expertise in skincare. Dr Williams is regularly quoted as an expert in a variety of media including Tatler, Vogue, Daily Telegraph, Daily Mail, BBC Radio 4 and Channel 4 TV to name but a few. She is a member of the British Association of Dermatologists, British Cosmetic Dermatology Group, Society of Cosmetic Scientists, Royal Society of Medicine and European Society for Cosmetic and Aesthetic Dermatology.
Dr Penelope Tympanidis (co-chair)
Dr Tympanidis is a Consultant Dermatologist recognised by the European Board of Dermatology. Trained at Tufts, Boston and UCL, she has worked as a Consultant in Dermatology at Mayday University Hospital in London, as a Clinical Research Registrar at the Department of Dermatology at UCL and the Royal Free/UCL Medical School Campus as well as in various busy dermatology units in Liverpool and Glasgow. She has gained first-hand experience in general dermatology, photo-dermatology, allergy and patch testing, pediatric dermatology, skin cancer clinics, laser treatment sessions, and teaching students and General Practitioners. She now trains junior plastic surgeons, on minimally invasive cosmetic procedures, and junior dermatologists on cutaneous surgery.
Dr Carl R Thornfeldt
Dr Carl Thornfeldt is a practicing dermatologist with 30 years of skin research experience, 15 US patents granted and over 50 scientific journal publications in the area of treatment of skin diseases and conditions, including chapters in six dermatological textbooks and authored the book Ideal Skin Health published in 2010. Along with these accomplishments, he has also spent nearly two decades focusing on researching the skin barrier, cutaneous inflammatory conditions, delivering ingredients and herbal medicines. Dr Thornfeldt has co-founded and held the position of CEO at several privately and publicly held biopharmaceutical technology companies and has presented at numerous international, national and regional scientific meetings. Dr Thornfeldt has twice been selected as one of the top 50 doctors in the US by The Sinatra Health Report. He is the only dermatologist on the list.
Dr Julia Hunter
Dr Julia Hunter is a dermatologist and Founder of Wholistic Dermatology, Skin Fitness Plus, Beverly Hills, CA. She is also the formulator of Skin Therapy by Julia T. Hunter, M.D. Maximal/Physician-strength, Skin Products and Peels,Skin Fitness Plus Synergistic Supplementation and Skin Physiology – Ingredient Optimizer Base Skin Cream for Healthy Pharmaceuticals, Bio-identical Hormones. The foundation of Dr Hunter’s methodology of treating patients and disease is focused on the sciences of anatomy and physiology to achieve cure rather than just chasing symptoms. Technical breakthroughs, friends, patients and colleagues compelled Dr Hunter to establish Skin Fitness Plus, in August 2005, in Los Angeles, CA. Dr Uliana Gout
Dr Uliana Gout is a Cosmetic Physician and founder of a private practice - London Aesthetic Medicine Services Ltd. She practises Aesthetic Dermatology, offering a variety of non-surgical treatments with a reputation for achieving a natural rejuvenation outcome through a gentle approach, whilst educating and empowering her patients. She serves as Principal Trainer in one of Europe’s largest Aesthetic Medicine Schools teaching a variety of non-surgical treatment modalities. She is a chair of the International Peeling Society and regularly presents at international congresses, as well as being involved in a number of research programmes and publications.
