IAPAM publishes list of top aesthetic medicine trends for 2015
The International Association for Physicians in Aesthetic Medicine (IAPAM) has created a list of what it predicts will be the top five industry trends for 2015.
Topping the list was botulinum toxin injections, which IAPAM says will continue to rise, with the male market seeing significant growth.Dermal fillers will continue to be popular too, with hyaluronic acid-based products still representing the gold standard. IPL photo rejuvenation was highlighted as an emerging trend with IAPAM reporting a 35% increase in these treatments last year. This was credited to increased awareness of the positive results that can be achieved with this technology. Non-surgical fat reduction will continue to make its mark with new technologies being credited for a 23.9% rise in the performance of these treatments. The final procedure to make the list was tattoo removal, with IAPAM reporting yearly increases in the popularity of this treatment.
IAPAM executive-director Jeff Russell commented, “In the last nine years, we have seen consistent growth with many of the tried and true aesthetic procedures but it is nice to see some new additions to this year’s aesthetic medicine trends.”
