Implant manufacturer joins forces with TV nutritionist for breast cancer
GC Aesthetics is teaming up with TV nutritionist Amanda Hamilton to offer advice to those preparing for, or recovering from, breast reconstruction due to cancer.
Hamilton, who is knownfor her roles presenting onthe BBC show Something for the Weekend and ITV’sThis Morning, is to offernutritional tips and suggestions for breast reconstructionpatients via a series of short videos to be disseminatedvia social media.
The series of short clips offer advice onow to choose the right nutrients and foods to strengthenwomen’s bodies prior and post-surgery; to help accelerate healing, minimise scarring, and improve overall health. The clips were posted weekly throughout Breast CancerAwareness Month.The initiative is part of GC Aesthetics Body Matterscampaign, a concept which brings together panelsof experts including surgeons and psychotherapistscommitted to giving women the most thorough information,support and advice before they consider embarking on thephysical and emotional journey of breast surgery – whetheraesthetic or reconstructive.
Hamilton commented, “I hope this programme goes someway to supporting women before, during and after breastreconstruction surgery and empowering them to look afterthemselves to recover quickly and enjoy life.”
