International Association for Prevention of Complications in Aesthetic Medicine to host symposium
A new International Association for Prevention of Complications in Aesthetic Medicine (IAPCAM) is launching with a symposium to be held on September 22 at the Royal College of Physicians.
Dr Beatriz Molina who is organising the event commented, "There has been an increase in numbers of mis-managed complications due to an increasing numbers of practitioners offering an increasing number of treatments and a range of new treatments and products each year. Industry comments have indicated that there is a growing need for expert training in the management of acute and chronic complications particuularly of dermal fillers – particularly the use of hyalase, the doses and how to manage vascular complications. There is also a growing need to managed other types of aesthetic complications botulin toxin, lasers and chemical peels.
"We feel that IAPCAM can help the industry to establish a body of knowledge in this field. We aim to provide annual consensus updates as well as practical, evidence-based hands on training, leasing with top pharmaceutical companies within the UK."
The agenda will include lectures and lives demos on how to handle complications to help you in your daily practice. There will be international speakers and KOLs from different pharmaceutical companies who have agreed to collaborate on the formation of this guidelines and training. The meeting is open to doctors, nurses and dentist. Tickets cost £75 incl VAT.
