ISAPS announces creation of a new global alliance to address patient safety issues
The International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS) has announced the formation of a Global Alliance to establish a clear voice for the industry and address the important issue of patient safety.
Under the leadership of the ISAPS new president, Dr Renato Saltz, the alliance will have a physical and virtual presence to advise and consult on all concerns relating to cosmetic surgery on a global scale.
“We serve our industry best when the efforts of all these national plastic surgery societies are combined on patient safety issues”, said Dr Saltz. “My goal in the next two years is to narrow the international gap regarding standards of accreditation among different countries, cultures and surgeons.” The alliance is comprised of 40 presidents of national plastic surgery societies and will represent the international community of aesthetic professionals that is underserved by other societies.
