JCCP announces appointment of new trustees

The Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners (JCCP) has achieved full accreditation from the Professional Standards Authority (PSA) and is now a registered UK Charity.
As part of its charitable status governance requirements it has appointed trustees to oversee the running of the JCCP and to ensure that it meets its charitable objectives.
The JCCP has announced the appointment of two new trustees, Andrew Masheter and Victor Ktorakis.
Masheterhas had over 30 years experience at senior level in the not for profit and public sectors specializing in strategy, marketing, communications, commercial development and PR. His most recent roles included being Head of Marketing Services, South Bank University, London and Pro Vice Chancellor of Roehampton University. He has joined the JCCP to advise on its marketing and PR strategy, plan and initiatives.
He said, "It is great to join a new organization like the JCCP which has a tremendous set of tasks to complete to raise the issue of standards, patient safety and protection in such a developing and fast-growing area such as aesthetics."
Ktorakis has over 14 years of experience as an Environmental Health Officer (EHO) and is currently a Senior EHO for the London Borough of Enfield with lead responsibility for ‘Special Treatment Licensing’. He is also the Co-chair of the London Special Treatments Group.
He joins as a non-voting trustee to advise the JCCP on how the rules, regulations and practices of EHO’s can be upgraded and supported when looking at the licensing of premises where aesthetic treatments are taking place. This is a complex and developing area which the JCCP is looking at to enhance patient safety and protection.
He said, "I am able to bring front line experience of dealing with health and safety issues with aesthetic businesses and I am delighted to be working with the JCCP on new policies and regulation in this complex area."
Professor David Sines CBE – Chair JCCP said, "It is my great pleasure to welcome Andrew and Victor to the JCCP Board of Trustees. As the JCCP develops it needs to recruit to its Board of Trustees people with specialist knowledge and experience. Both Andrew and Victor fulfil that role and I look forward to working with them."
