Lynton- the British-based manufacturer and supplier of surgical medical-grade aesthetic lasers- has appointed Damien Bailey as its new research and development engineering manager.

As part of Lynton’s senior leadership team, Bailey will be helping to create Lynton’s next generation of medical devices and ensuring the delivery of new product capabilities for the company’s portfolio.

Through the development and management of new product development, Bailey will be focused on fuelling Lynton’s growth, helping realise the company’s innovation strategy and thus maintaining the company’s world-leading reputation and position within the aesthetics market.

Bailey’s skillset will also contribute to Lynton’s future research and development commitments, and bring innovations that will hopefully delight customers.

For the past 10 years, Bailey has led mixed-discipline technical teams in the delivery of innovation projects and new products, often in collaboration with technical partners such as Innovate UK, Research and Technology (RTOs), and research universities.

In his previous roles before Lynton, Bailey researched and developed complex laser systems for defence materials processing, medical devices, and scientific instrumentation. His appointment by Lynton will see him bringing these skills to the manufacturer and is part of Lynton’s ongoing investment in the research and development of their devices.

“I’m thrilled to be joining Lynton in their Research and Development team,” commented Bailey. “Lynton’s reputation within the market comes from the continuous drive to delight customers with exceptional service and high-quality products. I am excited to be a part of the team driving the next chapter of the company’s future, creating a focused, positive, caring, and collaborative workspace with product innovation at its core.”

“We are delighted to have Damien joining our Lynton team, this appointment further solidifies our commitment to product development and ensuring we are always delivering the most innovative and exciting products to our clients,” added the managing director at Lynton Lasers, Jon Exley. “At Lynton, we are committed to identifying new product capabilities and are always improving our high-quality products using feedback provided by our customers. With Damien, we are furthering this commitment and growing our in-house capability, ensuring we are always delivering the best results for our clients.”
