Mapperley Park Aesthetics Training Academy relaunches with VIP event

Mapperley Park has now formally rebranded to Mapperley Park Aesthetics Training Academy with a total renovation of their Nottingham-based premises. The team marked the relaunch with an invitation-only VIP event held at the academy with a coveted talk from leading authority on lasers, Professor Kayvan Shokrollahi, offering perspectives on laser treatments, as well as legal and training insights.

Established in 1993, Mapperley Park provides training from industry experts, as well as offering a large portfolio of courses within the aesthetic sector. The Academy has recently undergone a complete transformation to create a state-of-the-art facility that is attracting worldwide attention.

During the evening, guests were given the opportunity to network with like-minded industry professionals, as well as being offered a tour of the facility. GlendaBailye-Bray, Head of Learning and Development at Mapperley Park, gave a welcome speech and address, demonstrating what Mapperley Park is doing for the aesthetics industry.

Glenda Bailye-Bray comments: “We are proud to be able to demonstrate what we are doing here first hand with industry experts. Everyone has been blown away by the exceptional facilities that we have at Mapperley Park. Using the very latest technology and techniques, as well as highly experienced tutors, combined with our suite of courses in laser and injectables, we are seeing real demand for training here, with many delegates excitedly reporting back on their own successes.”

The Mapperley Park team was honoured to welcome Professor Shokrollahi, who captivated the audience by sharing his insights into state-of-the-art technology and the future direction for laser treatments. As top Laser Specialist at the Mersey Regional Burns and Plastic Surgery Unit, the renowned burns and plastic surgeon shared his insights with delegates, including the legal and training perspectives on laser treatments.

Glenda Bailye-Bray continues: “It was an honour to welcome Professor Shokrollahi who provided an absolutely fascinating insight into the use of laser, allowing delegates to see the amazing results that it can bring. In a largely unregulated industry, Mapperley Park works closely within HEE guidelines, so to have the need for this reiterated by someone as well respected as Professor Shokrollahi is invaluable.”

Delegates were given an introduction to Mapperley Park’s wide range of laser and injectable courses that are designed to enable practitioners to develop their knowledge, understanding and confidence.  The team was also proud to announcethe launch of three innovative and accredited BTEC qualifications in lasers, that launched in August, the first of their kind at this level in the UK.
