Med-fx bought by The Dental Directory as part of growth strategy
Med-fx, the specialist provider of facial aesthetics and skin rejuvenation products, has been acquired by The Dental Directory, the single largest purchaser of dental products in the UK.
The addition of the Med-fx operation, whose clients include dental practices, doctors, surgeons, nurses and providers of anti-ageing treatments, opens up new segments of the medical sector for The Dental Directory as well as expanding its specialist product offering.
There has been a long history of The Dental Directory and Med-fx working in partnership and the deal formalises the relationship, which will deliver enhanced value and service for customers of both organisations.
The Dental Directory is already the only supplier offering next day delivery for orders placed up to 6pm, it also offers am delivery free of charge, has an online prescription ordering system and offers industry-leading promotions.
The Dental Directory chief operating officer Mark Stephenson said, “Med-fx is a great brand and a natural fit for The Dental Directory. We are delighted to be expanding our facial aesthetics expertise for our existing dental clients as well as providing Med-fx customers with a superior choice of medical supplies partner.”
The deal, which was for an undisclosed sum, follows a significant investment to expand the warehouse and automate the picking and packing capabilities of The Dental Directory, which enable it to fulfil its next day delivery promise.
