Military personel with burn scars treated by Mr Max Murison with Lumenis UltraPulse

Lumenis teamed up with consultant plastic and reconstructive surgeon Mr Max Murison to offer UltraPulse laser treatments to injured military personnel with burn scars. The day was attended by leading surgeons from around the country. Five patients were treated including Karl Hinnett who is regularly campaigning for veterans. The Charity WoundCare4Heroes also attended. Mr Murison who is based at The Welsh Regional Centre for Burns and Plastic Surgery, Morriston Hospital, Swansea, commented, “Although frequently used for aesthetic applications, the UltraPulse offers 240 watts of power and microsecond pulses which combined provide a broad canvas from which other treatments in cutaneous surgical and aesthetic applications can be provided. No other laser available today offers UltraPulse delivery and remains the standard for treating scars among all CO2 lasers. Our unit has treated scars from burns and trauma for over four years with a consistent record in improving the appearance of the skin.”
