Miramar Labs has launched miraDry+, an FDA-cleared treatment for eradicating underarm sweat, odour and hair. Using precisely-controlled electromagnetic energy, the procedure is customised for each person’s underarm.

To ensure maximum results, a slight suction action brings the skin and glands closer to the surface and miraWave energy is delivered directly to the sweat glands. 

miraDry+ is also a solution for those who do not qualify for laser hair removal. With its triple action modality, miraDry+ targets underarm hair of all colours, including light coloured hair and is not limited by an individual’s skin colour. Unlike laser hair removal systems, the microwave energy used in the procedure does not require chromophore to be effective and therefore can be used on all skin types.

Performed under local anaesthetic, patients should feel no pain, other than some pressure and a slight warm sensation. Once treated, sweat glands do not grow back or regenerate.
