Mr Shailesh Vadodaria's travels to Ghana with Help Smile Trust and Motek

Mr Shailesh Vadodaria was among a team of plastic reconstructive surgeons who travelled to a rural part of Ghana, West Africa to do charity work as part of a joint initiative between the Help Smile Trust and Motek.
Mr Vadodaria was joined by Dr Santosh Bhatia and breast surgeon Mr Sanjay Baldota. Operations were performed in the district general hospital in Keta as well as in Akasombo.
The team saw approximately 150 patients who required plastic reconstructive and breast surgery over a period of 10 days during their stay, performing approximately 40 procedures on adults and children. Procedures carried out included correction of congenital hand and limb deformities, breast reduction and two mastectomies and reconstructions.
