Restylane reveals new anti-counterfeiting measures with original hologram
Galderma has launched a new hologram on all packaging across the entire Restylane portfolio of NASHA and OBT products as well as the Skinboosters range to provide further assurance that the products are original. Working to protect distributors, customers and consumers, the packaging now includes an original hologram sticker on all boxes, alongside the Restylane brand’s slightly shining packaging and glossy lacquered “R”, embossed logo and shiny silver stripes, working to safe guard all Galderma fillers’ originality.
“At Galderma we are committed to providing quality products with proven safety and efficacy”, said Toby Cooper, Business Unit Head - A&C Sales and Marketing. “Counterfeit products can put patients at significant risk and to help combat this issue we have created an original hologram sticker for all packaging across our entire Restylane portfolio. We are confident the new hologram sticker will help provide additional reassurance to our customers that the Restylane products being distributed in the UK are original.”
The widespread counterfeiting of medical products has driven the need to opt for secure solutions. In more than 50% of cases, medical products purchased over the internet from illegal sites have been found to be counterfeit, according to WHO. The continued growth and success of the Restylane portfolio means there is an increasing risk of bogus products into the UK market.
The new hologram sticker is applied at the Galderma warehouse in the UK. This guarantees the product is genuine Galderma stock from the UK and has been delivered to our authorised distributors subject to the correct conditions.
Galderma hopes that its distributors and customers are reassured by this positive measure and its continued commitment to delivering the highest quality products.
