Out and about: Dispelling Skincare Myths with Black Skin Directory, Avanti Aesthetics, Harley Street, London

A panel including Dr Bhavjit Kaur (Health & Aesthetic Clinic), Dr Barbara Kubicka (Clinicbe) and Dr Rikin Parekh (Avanti Aesthetics) took part in an event organised by Black Skin Directory to dispel some common skincare myths. 

Following an introduction to the directory, there was an audience led Q&A with the panel after which guests were free to talk to the experts over a glass of wine and some nibbles.

The audience was engaged and the panel provided candid and thoughtful expert answers, clearing up skincare misconceptions around the use of sunscreens, different approaches to clinical treatments, addressing the improper use of hydroquinone and the importance of visiting a skin care professional for treatment. The overwhelming feedback was that the event was well enjoyed and provided a real education for our guests.”
