Q&A with Dr Vincent Wong, Founder of La Maison de l'Esthétique

Aesthetic Medicine Editor Vicky Eldridge speaks to Dr Vincent Wong about his upcoming talk at #AMLive

Vicky Eldridge: What attracted you to the field of medical aesthetics?

Dr Vincent Wong: Two things really. Firstly I used to have really bad skin, really bad acne. I tried everything from my GP, all the antibiotics, all the creams and lotions and things and they didn’t work for me so I looked more into it and I found out about the aesthetics industry and treatments for cane. I had some peels and other treatments that really helped my skin. I didn’t know much about aesthetics as a medical student but I was always interested in skin and I am quite an artistic person so I thought: “this could be a field I could go into.” The aesthetics industry gives me a nice balance between those two things.

VE: What will you be covering in your presentation and what will people take away from it?

VW: I will be covering nose and chin reconstruction/remodeling with fillers. These are two procedures that can really make a difference to a face. The results can be quite dramatic and very satisfying. I hope that people will walk away with knowledge of the techniques, an understanding of the aesthetics of what makes a beautiful chin and nose and how to incorporate these treatments into their clinics.

Vincent Wong will be speaking on Non-Surgical Nose and Chin Reshaping with Fillers at 4.40pm on Saturday April 25 as part of the Injectables Symposium chaired by Professor Bob Khanna.

We will also be screening Dr Wong’s documentary Life is Beauty-Full on the Live stage at 4pm on Saturday April 25.
