Save Face register goes live

A register of accredited practitioners designed to provide better protection for patients has gone live. The Save Face register, which can be found on www.saveface.co.uk, features a database of UK practitioners who have been thoroughly checked to ensure they are fit to practice and administer treatments. The register launched in responseto huge pressure on the industryto protect patients from unsafe, unscrupulous “cowboy” practitioners.

Ashton Honeyball, director of SaveFace, said, “For too long, patients havebeen left in the dark when lookingfor treatments. It’s not acceptablethat they can just fall into the handsof cowboy practitioners offeringreduced price treatments that theyare not experienced in administeringin clinics that are not fit for purpose. Save Face aims to arm the consumerwith factual and unbiased information and expert advice and guidance to help them navigate their way to a safe andprofessional service.”

Save Face has also launched anationwide consumer campaign toraise awareness of the register. The £140,000 advertising campaignwill target travellers on the London Underground – covering 25 platforms,100 escalator sites and 1,000 tubecarriages. The organisation is alsoinvesting heavily in an SEO campaignand adverts will appear on high-traffic consumer websites such as Cosmopolitan, Grazia and Glamour.
