Collums secures funding to continue serving customers

Only 48 hours after the difficult decision to pause clinical software Collums due to funding falling through was shared on social media, founder Dr Askari Townshend has announced that a turnaround plan to secure the future of the project has been finalised.

All existing Collums customers will have their service continue as normal. New customers will be able to join an interest list but new sign-ups are paused until further notice.

“I’ve been overwhelmed with the support I’ve received, not just from our customers, but the community as a whole," said Dr Townshend, who also runs Askinology clinic. "There clearly is still a strong need for quality clinical software for aesthetic practitioners.

"I’m sorry for the worry and disruption we have caused our customers over the last 48 hours, but am very happy to be able to let them know that business will continue as normal for them. Our future is secure and we look forward to opening our doors to new customers once again in the coming months.”

Dr Townshend started Collums in 2018 after frustration with the six different software programmes he had used. It was launched at the Askinology London clinic in January 2021.

Collums can see all previous treatments and face maps on the same page as documenting current treatments. Along with a smooth user journey, it is described as "one of the only true replacements for paper notes available".
